From our owners Dale, Jesse, and Jordan

Founded by Dale Inman in 2019, Mystic Fortress Games is what the gaming industry identifies as a Friendly Local Game Store (FLGS). Our shared passion for gaming focuses on ‘Friendly.’

Dale’s original vision was to create a family-friendly space for gaming enthusiasts at all levels. With Jesse and Jordan’s 2022 and 2023 additions, they have continued to build the store’s reputation as a place for gamers of all skill levels to compete in family-friendly, casual, and competitive events.

Dale..

and his wife Lisa lived in Waconia for over 15 years before moving to Mayer in 2021. They spend time together when not at the game store watching their favorite movies (Lord of the Rings!) and playing all sorts of word games like Scrabble, Upwords and more. Gaming is in Dale’s blood; he especially loves miniature gaming and role-playing. He might have started the store just so he could find more gamers to play with!

Jesse…

his wife Jamie, and their three boys Matthias, Abram, and Hezekiah moved to Waconia in 2005. Having spent the last 19 years in the community, Jesse is active in his church, a member of the Waconia school board, and a proud artistic contributor to the annual Art Wanderer. Jesse loves gaming so much that he even started his own gaming convention in 2021!

Jordan…

and his wife Anita moved to Waconia in 2013 right after his daughter was born here and could immediately see the closeness and support the community of Waconia had to offer. Jordan’s passion for gaming started young, he started collecting and playing Pokemon when he was 7 years old and collecting was always in him. From sports cards to ninja turtles and power rangers. The hobby of collecting has always been in him. 

Our shop operates under the mantra, “Your Play is Our Business.” We continually strive to create a comfortable and friendly environment where people of all ages from Waconia, greater Minneapolis/ St. Paul, and Minnesota can come play and shop.  

We pride ourselves and our shop as educators of games, not tournament judges. Along with our staff, we are here to help players, novice to expert, learn and develop the skills and knowledge to be the player they want to be.
